Transfer Hub at the Railway Station in Myszków

Project description

The partnership project involves the construction of a transfer hub at the railway station in Myszków, including the construction of a bus shelter, a “park & ride” car park and “bike & ride” bicycle parking spaces, together with access roads, street furniture and landscaping.

The main objective of the project is to ensure accessibility and integration of different forms of transport through the construction of a transfer hub at the railway station in Myszków. At the same time, an information and promotional campaign will be carried out as part of the project to promote the use of low-emission public transport and non-motorised mobility.

The project is integrated at the user level, which means that it will have an impact on more than one municipality, improving the mobility of residents not only of the city of Myszków, but also of the neighbouring municipalities of the Northern Subregion of the Silesian Voivodeship, in particular Myszkowski County.

Specific objectives:

1. Improving access to public transport services enabling residents to meet their public, economic and housing needs;
2. Increasing interest in public transport, including rail and bus transport;
3. Reducing individual car traffic in the city centre in favour of public transport;
4. Relieving the road transport system, particularly in the centre of Myszków and, consequently, in Częstochowa, the municipalities of the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis, as well as on national and regional roads;
5. Developing the transport system based on environmentally friendly solutions.

At the same time, an information and promotional campaign will be carried out as part of the project to promote the use of low-emission public transport and non-motorised mobility.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Silesia 2021–2027 programme.
